Tour Host & Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Tour Host and Partnerships Officer delivers guided studio sessions and builds a referral network across the Watamu and Malindi hospitality sector. Acting as the studio’s representative to hotels, resorts, accredited guides and tour operators, the officer is accountable for guest volume generated through these channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver guided studio sessions in English (and Italian where required), presenting each collection with accurate references and ensuring sessions start on time while maintaining studio cleanliness and security.
• Identify, engage and secure referral partnerships with hotels, resorts, private villas, accredited guides and marine excursion operators in Watamu and Malindi; conduct weekly visits to partner properties and manage the partner booking‑code system.
• Manage guest arrivals, bookings and enquiries, request post‑session reviews on TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide and Airbnb Experiences, and record guest feedback for the Marketing Director.
• Record daily attendance, bookings and referral sources; submit session and partnership reports; participate in weekly video‑call reviews with the Nairobi team and provide photographic and written content to marketing.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Travel Operations or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in tourism, hospitality, guiding, guest relations or sales.
• Professional fluency in spoken English.
• Residence in Watamu or Malindi, or willingness to relocate before the start date.
• Proficiency in WhatsApp Business, Google Sheets and online booking platforms.
