Training Manager - Alternative Channels

About the role

The Training Manager – Alternative Channels will design, implement and continuously improve training programmes for Bancassurance and Sacco Assurance distribution channels. Reporting to the Head of Agency Training, the role equips relationship managers, bank staff and sacco representatives with the product knowledge, sales capabilities and regulatory understanding needed to distribute life insurance solutions effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the organisation’s growth and distribution objectives.
• Translate strategic priorities into practical, channel‑specific training plans for Bancassurance and Sacco Assurance.
• Design structured learning pathways to boost productivity and advisory capability.
• Deliver product, sales and compliance training ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery across all alternative channels.
• Ensure training content is practical, relevant and aligned to channel realities.
• Conduct field visits, joint sales engagements and coaching sessions to reinforce learning.
• Manage the training calendar for Bancassurance and Sacco channels.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and audit requirements and prepare periodic impact reports.
• Act as the primary training contact for channel stakeholders, collaborating with partners, sales and product teams.
