Transport Coordinator (Contract)

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will manage contracted transport operations for a leading oil and gas company in Nairobi. The role ensures fleet availability, maximises utilisation, and monitors safety through OBC and camera systems. It is a contract position focused on data‑driven performance and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan annual transporter seminars, quarterly driver meetings and KPI reviews in collaboration with senior distribution staff.
• Create and approve new trucks in SAP, ensuring all mandatory documentation is collected before inclusion in the contracted fleet.
• Maintain the transport database, updating licences, PATROM inspections and standards via the Track & Trace system.
• Prepare monthly analyses of STL rejections, product losses, fleet performance and age for transport business reviews.
• Raise purchase requisitions, process invoices in the DMS and manage debit/credit notes for product recoveries.
• Coordinate OBC violation monitoring, generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and liaise with Technobrain for corrective actions.
• Assist senior staff with month‑end SAP pre‑billing reports and support finance period closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Science or Commerce.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations and logistics.
• Strong numerical, analytical and reporting abilities.
• Team‑player with high integrity and self‑motivation.
