Transport Supervisor – School Fleet Management

About the role

The Ark Junior School is seeking a Transport Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of its school fleet. You will coordinate routes, ensure vehicle safety, and manage drivers to provide reliable transport for students.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily school transport schedules and routes.
• Plan and supervise the movement of school vans and buses.
• Maintain accurate records of transport activities, incidents, licenses, logbooks, insurance, tools, tyres and batteries.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with NTSA regulations.
• Report maintenance and repair needs and suggest cost‑effective solutions.
• Conduct regular safety audits on vehicles.
• Monitor transportation costs and propose reduction measures.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management or a related field.
• 3‑5 years proven experience in fleet or transport operations.
• Understanding of NTSA regulations and experience handling motor vehicles and drivers.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in a school environment is an advantage.
