UI/UX Designer

About the role

Vapor Technologies is seeking a dedicated UI/UX Designer to join its Nairobi team. The role will shift design from an ad‑hoc activity to a core function, delivering polished client proposals, product interfaces, and brand assets.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑fidelity UI mockups for client websites, dashboards and admin panels.
• Develop and maintain design systems for client projects and Vapor’s product suite, including Force HRM and emerging micro‑products.
• Produce wireframes and interactive prototypes for stakeholder review.
• Work closely with developers to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation of designs.
• Support brand‑aligned design work for proposals, pitch decks and marketing collateral.
• Conduct lightweight UX research and usability checks when required.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio showcasing UI design for web applications, preferably SaaS or client‑facing projects.
• Proficiency with Figma, including component libraries and design system creation.
• Understanding of responsive, mobile‑first design patterns relevant to the Kenyan market.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility principles.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with developers and delivering implementation‑ready specifications.
