Waitress

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Waitress to join our 4‑star dining team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will serve both local and international guests, ensuring a high standard of hospitality and compliance with health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present menus, explain daily specials and take accurate orders using the POS system.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly, accommodate special dietary requests and upsell menu items.
• Set up tables, maintain a clean dining environment, restock service stations and clear dishes efficiently.
• Process bills, handle cash, card and room‑account payments, and balance sales at the end of each shift.
• Uphold personal hygiene standards and adhere to County Food Safety regulations.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Food & Beverage Service or Hospitality.
• Minimum six months experience in F&B service within a 3‑ or 4‑star hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Valid County Food Handlers Certificate.
• Excellent communication in English and Kiswahili; additional languages are a plus.
• Neat grooming, strong interpersonal skills and physical stamina for long shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hospitality POS systems, preferably Micros.
