Warranty Engineer

About the role

The Warranty Engineer will manage and optimise warranty, maintenance and insurance claims for Kenya Airways’ aircraft, engines and components. Working closely with lessors, vendors and internal teams, you will ensure that all eligible compensations are captured and processed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Compile maintenance records to identify and submit maintenance reserve claims to lessors.
• Gather restoration, modification and inspection data to file warranty claims with vendors.
• Monitor contractual terms, detect deviations and initiate recovery actions.
• Track performance metrics such as MTBF/MTBR and trigger guarantee claims when thresholds are not met.
• Collect and submit insurance claim documentation for aircraft, engine and component damage.
• Extract, compile and circulate entitlement and obligation summaries for monthly reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum five years of experience in aircraft maintenance, technical fields or related aviation supply‑chain roles.
• Familiarity with warranty, inventory and quality interfaces within the aviation industry.
• Experience with large‑scale data sets and contract analysis is preferred.
