About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Web Developer intern to support the Nairobi Convention’s digital platforms. This six‑month internship will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, and will involve working directly with the Head of the Nairobi Convention.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain website pages and related web platforms for the Nairobi Convention.
- Create and maintain visualization dashboard pages for various UNEP projects.
- Collect, organize, and prepare project data for integration into dashboards and web‑based reporting tools.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into cohesive datasets for digital products.
- Update metadata and structured information for web maps and project information systems.
- Support data analysis and interpretation using digital tools to generate insights for communication and decision‑making.
- Assist in creating, updating, and publishing event‑related web pages, ensuring timely posting of documents and materials.
- Upload and maintain website content, including project documents, event resources, and communication materials.
- Contribute to improving the online visibility, accessibility, and knowledge‑sharing systems of the Nairobi Convention.
