Workshop Manager (M/F)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our Nairobi workshop. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality repairs and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles, including prime movers, forklifts, top loaders, saloon cars, reefer containers and motorbikes.
• Generate regular workshop reports and maintain accurate documentation of workshop records.
• Approve daily workshop requisitions for spares and materials.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes.
• Evaluate and approve external technical support to complement internal capacity.
• Ensure security and safety of the workshop and enforce health‑and‑safety standards, government regulations and company policies.
• Verify quality and quantity of purchased spare parts and ensure correct installation.
• Prepare and manage the workshop budget.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience handling prime movers (FAW and Renault), top loaders, forklifts, saloon cars, reefer containers and motorbikes.
• Business degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Self‑motivated, integrity, strong team‑leadership and interpersonal skills.
