About the role
We are looking for a Founding GTM Lead to own the end‑to‑end commercial process for Noverdesk, an AI‑native customer operations platform serving African businesses. You will shape the go‑to‑market strategy, build the sales motion from scratch and drive the acquisition of paying SMEs across East Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and build a pipeline of African SMEs that use chat and voice channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, web chat and phone.
- Engage decision‑makers in sectors including logistics, clinics, SACCOs and retail across Kenya and the wider East African region.
- Conduct outbound outreach via LinkedIn, WhatsApp, in‑person visits, events and referral networks.
- Run product demos, structure pilots, negotiate terms and close new business.
- Collect customer feedback and translate insights into product and engineering priorities.
- Create and maintain lightweight CRM tracking, pipeline reporting and basic commercial infrastructure.
- Develop repeatable go‑to‑market playbooks for expansion into new markets.
Required profile
- Proven experience closing deals with African SMEs or enterprise customers.
- Strong understanding of decision‑making processes in the African market.
- Background in selling B2B software, including prospecting, demo delivery and contract negotiation.
