Firefighter

About the role

The Firefighter protects lives and property by responding to fires, vehicle accidents, natural disasters, and hazardous material incidents. This role involves rapid decision‑making, physical exertion, and teamwork in high‑stress environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform search, rescue, and firefighting operations for fires, accidents, floods, bomb incidents, and dangerous substance spills.
• Safely operate emergency response vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Use hand and power tools to ventilate structures, position ladders, and manage hose lines.
• Operate pumps, foam generators, boom and ground‑sweep nozzles, and related firefighting equipment.
• Conduct salvage and overhaul operations to minimize damage.
• Participate in station drills, emergency‑procedure training, and hazardous‑materials response.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of firefighting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IFSAC, DOD, Pro‑Board Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, ARFF, Driver Operator Pumper).
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet OSHA 1910.156 interior structural firefighting requirements.
• Willingness to work long hours in remote or uncomfortable conditions.
