Senior Relationship Officer – SME

About the role

The Senior Relationship Officer – SME will manage loan portfolios exceeding $200,000, acquire new SME customers and deepen relationships with existing ones for the bank’s SME Lending Department. The role combines credit assessment, loan processing and cross‑selling of banking products while ensuring compliance with credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential SME customers through data collection, financial analysis and site visits.
• Prepare and submit credit proposals and loan applications in line with bank policies.
• Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Legal and Operations teams to obtain loan approval and disbursement.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance before loan drawdown.
• Monitor loan performance, prepare regular credit reports and analyse portfolio quality.
• Promote cross‑selling of bank products to both new and existing customers.
• Provide ongoing support to customers, resolve loan‑related queries and expand product holdings.
• Coach and mentor newly hired staff to improve team competency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in SME or commercial lending, including customer sourcing and loan processing.
• Strong command of spoken, written and reading English.
• Ability to analyse financial statements, cash flow and business viability.
• Detail‑oriented, decisive and able to work under pressure.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Khmer and English typing skills.
• Data analysis and statistical interpretation.
