Site Lead - Meraki

About the role

The Site Lead – Meraki will oversee daily warehouse operations for DHL Supply Chain East Africa, ensuring the highest level of performance for Meraki clients. This role combines leadership, safety management, and operational excellence to meet customer requirements and key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Drive daily, weekly and monthly activities to achieve agreed KPIs and become the provider of choice for clients.
• Implement and monitor health and safety standards, including Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) programs.
• Report, investigate and escalate incidents, near‑misses and non‑compliance issues.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal and DHL policies.
• Maintain site security in line with the DSC 6‑step framework and mitigate identified risks.
• Supervise the use of up‑to‑date work instructions, SOPs and related forms.
• Continuously improve processes and update the operational training matrix.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading warehouse or logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and security regulations.
• Ability to motivate, train and develop a diverse workforce.
• Excellent communication skills to convey policies and procedures.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safety standards and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) implementation.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and risk mitigation.
• Experience with operational process documentation and SOP management.
