About the role
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Nairobi office. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
- Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Perform bank and financial reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Assist with cash‑flow monitoring and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong General Ledger experience.
- Advanced English (C1 level) – mandatory.
Required skills
- QuickBooks (advanced proficiency).
- Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
- Hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- General Ledger management.
