Accounts Intern – Finance & Accounting Support

About the role

MEDFO Kenya Limited is seeking a motivated Accounts Intern to support its finance team in Nairobi. This role offers hands‑on experience in accounting, receivables, and basic financial operations within a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and post financial transactions promptly.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor supplier costs, marketing expenses, and cost allocation processes.
• Send statements, perform client follow‑ups, and manage overdue invoice collections.
• Prepare daily and weekly collection status reports and update ageing schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and proper documentation for audit purposes.

Required profile

• At least CPA Intermediate level or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts‑receivable processes.
• Professional communication skills for outbound calls and email correspondence with clients.
