Accounts Officer

About the role

Kaziweza Limited is seeking an Accounts Officer to join its finance team in Westlands, Kenya. The role combines core accounting functions with procurement support, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth purchasing processes in a compliance‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record financial transactions promptly and accurately.
• Review, approve, and pay invoices in line with policy.
• Manage employee expense reimbursements.
• Maintain digital and physical financial records and tracking tools.
• Perform weekly bank and selective general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as directed.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Prepare procurement documents (LPOs, delivery notes) and track order status.
• Coordinate with vendors and departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Assist with stocktaking, asset tagging, and general administrative tasks for the finance department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Procurement, Supplies Management or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
