Adjunct Instructor – Automotive Management

About the role

Ferris State University is seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach automotive management courses at the baccalaureate level. The position is part‑time, temporary and may be filled on a semester‑by‑semester basis across multiple Michigan campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person instruction for courses such as Automotive Foundations, Marketing, Accounting, Fixed/Variable Operations, Warranty, and Social Media Marketing.
• Maintain at least one hour of office hours per class to support student success.
• Integrate current technology into classroom activities.
• Adhere to university policies and course schedules.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in automotive management or a closely related field (or a master’s out of field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline).
• Previous college teaching experience preferred.
• Relevant industry experience (minimum three years for a bachelor’s degree holder, or five years for a bachelor’s without a master’s).
• Residency in Michigan after acceptance of employment.
