Biostatistician II

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Biostatistician II to support clinical and pre‑clinical research projects. Working under senior biostatisticians, you will contribute to study design, data analysis, and results reporting across diverse therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior biostatisticians with study design, sample size calculations, patient randomisation and data analysis.
• Support statistical aspects of case report form development and write statistical analysis plans.
• Develop and execute data manipulation and analysis programs using relevant statistical software.
• Prepare statistical summary reports and contribute to integrated study reports.
• Document analysis and programming work for audit‑trail purposes and maintain project‑specific biostatistics files.
• Collaborate with data management, statistical programming and clinical research teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or a related field.
• Experience in a biostatistics role within the pharmaceutical, clinical research or healthcare industry (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, study design and sample size calculations.
• Ability to write and implement programs for data selection, retrieval, manipulation, editing and analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
