Business Development Executive – Software Sales

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to drive software sales within the banking, finance and insurance sector. You will lead the end‑to‑end sales process, from prospecting to closing, and build lasting relationships with mid‑size and enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Generate and qualify leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and outbound activities.
• Research target accounts, identify decision‑makers and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Respond promptly to inbound enquiries via phone and email.
• Schedule and deliver product demonstrations for prospective clients.
• Manage the full sales cycle – lead generation, negotiation, closing and client onboarding.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B software or technology sales experience.
• Proven track record selling solutions to financial institutions (banks, insurance, SACCOs, digital lenders, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field.
• High integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
