About the role
The Compliance Intern will support the Compliance function in Nairobi by maintaining trackers, calendars and documentation. This role provides administrative assistance for audit, compliance monitoring and statutory regulatory activities, ensuring information is up‑to‑date and deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain audit and assurance calendars, track milestones, deadlines and documentation.
- Provide administrative support for internal, external and statutory audit engagements.
- Assist in compliance monitoring activities, collect and organise documentation for reviews.
- Conduct preliminary checks of compliance folders and flag missing or inconsistent records.
- Maintain trackers and calendars for statutory, tax and regulatory obligations, monitor filing deadlines and support reminder processes.
- Support preparation of audit status updates and reports, and provide logistical assistance during audit engagements.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a relevant degree programme and able to work under supervision.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Proactive in following up on missing or overdue updates.
- Capable of escalating gaps or potential compliance concerns to senior staff.
