Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Supervisor will oversee daily activities on construction sites, ensuring projects progress safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role requires close coordination with artisans, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day supervision, coordination, and monitoring of construction sites.
• Monitor workmanship and enforce quality, health, safety, and site management standards.
• Coordinate artisans, subcontractors, suppliers and other site activities for smooth execution.
• Track and report project progress, labour utilisation, material needs and overall site activities.
• Prepare timely site progress reports and maintain comprehensive project records.
• Identify and promptly escalate potential delays, quality issues, material shortages or other challenges.
• Assist procurement planning and ensure timely delivery of construction materials.
• Conduct site measurements and help update schedules, cutting lists, material schedules and technical documentation.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, timelines, quality requirements and company standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant construction or site‑based experience (entry level).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site operations and project coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, reporting, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel and work across various project locations in Kenya.
• Attention to detail, accountability, initiative and strong problem‑solving ability.
