Contract Agent – Global Gateway Project Lead (FGIV)

About the role

The Contract Agent will lead and coordinate the full project lifecycle for health, education and agriculture value‑chain initiatives under the Global Gateway programme. Working from Nairobi, the role supports sustainable development through guarantee and blended‑finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, implementation and monitoring across selected value‑chain sectors.
• Analyse and prepare guarantee and blended‑finance operations, providing technical expertise on investment concepts.
• Contribute to policy definition and engage with stakeholders to promote sustainable finance solutions.
• Supervise and monitor implementation to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and partnership policies.
• Promote a Team Europe approach, collaborating with Member States, national development banks, export credit agencies, private‑sector organisations and European financial institutions.

Required profile

• National of an EU Member State.
• Successful candidate in an EPSO CAST competition for a function group valid for the post (FGIV).
• Relevant experience in finance, project coordination or sustainable development.
