Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will report to the Manager – Analytics and act as an analytics specialist within Kenya Airways. The role focuses on managing data from multiple sources, delivering data‑driven insights, and supporting business decisions across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business data to provide management, heads of departments and stakeholders with actionable information aligned with organisational objectives.
• Identify, analyse and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets to recommend suitable courses of action.
• Audit system data to ensure compliance, accuracy and eliminate duplication.
• Collaborate with business analysts to discover automation opportunities and streamline data management and reporting.
• Advocate for continuous improvement of processes, ensuring 100% adherence to policies, procedures and statutory guidelines.
• Participate in project execution, ensuring scope is understood and delivered on time.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to guarantee satisfaction and timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Management or a related field.
• At least three years of data‑related business experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven ability to interpret business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Power BI (strongly preferred)
• Advanced Excel
• SQL proficiency
• Python for statistical analysis (plus)
• Experience with at least one major database platform (e.g., DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
