Digital Impact Manager (Regional T4D) – Fixed Term

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Digital Impact Manager (Regional T4D) on a fixed‑term basis to lead the design, deployment and sustainability of technology‑for‑development (T4D) solutions for its Country Office in Nairobi. The role combines strategic guidance, technical oversight and business relationship management to ensure digital interventions address programme bottlenecks and align with UNICEF’s Technology Playbook.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and technical oversight for the identification, selection, concept design, deployment and sustainability of T4D interventions.
• Guide solution procurement and evaluation, ensuring compliance with UNICEF standards and the Technology Playbook, and support vendor selection processes.
• Advise on implementation strategies for digital technology initiatives, including troubleshooting and documentation of challenges.
• Manage business and programme relationships to define high‑level requirements and match them with appropriate T4D solutions.
• Lead the integration of digital development and technology innovation into programme planning and align with country priorities.
• Develop and implement the country‑level technology and digital innovation strategy, highlighting gaps and scale‑up opportunities.
• Oversee quality assurance during planning and deployment of T4D initiatives and maintain related standards and documentation.
• Lead ICT emergency preparedness, including the development of a disaster recovery plan and use of the ICT emergency checklist.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital solution implementation and technology‑for‑development projects.
• Strong background in procurement, vendor evaluation and contract management within an international development context.
• Experience in project management, strategic planning and business relationship management.
• Familiarity with UNICEF’s Technology Playbook, digital innovation strategies and ICT emergency preparedness.
