Digitalization Intern – Support Digital Projects & Data Management

About the role

The Digitalization Intern will assist the Digitalization Partner in implementing digital solutions, improving data management and records processes, and supporting operational efficiency at GIZ’s Kenya/Somalia Country Office in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of digitalization initiatives and adoption of digital tools.
• Document digital processes, workflows, and create user guides.
• Maintain and update the business partners database, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Generate basic reports and summaries from data sources.
• Provide administrative assistance such as scheduling meetings and preparing documentation.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting on digitalization activities.
• Participate in learning activities, briefings and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• University Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Records Management or a related field.
• Graduated within the last twelve months.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
