Director of Finance for Country Offices (Flexible)

About the role

WWF International is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee financial management across its global country offices. Reporting to the Global Finance Director, you will shape finance strategy, ensure compliance, and support conservation programmes with robust financial planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Country Office Finance pillar, providing strategic financial advice to Country Directors and Regional Directors.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial planning processes for all country offices.
• Develop and maintain finance policies, guidance, and processes aligned with WWF International standards.
• Coordinate financial capacity‑building initiatives for finance leaders and non‑finance managers across the network.
• Partner with Regional Finance Business Partners to deliver customer‑centric finance services.
• Support recruitment, performance management, and development of senior finance roles in country offices.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in finance management, preferably in international or non‑profit organisations.
• Proven ability to provide strategic financial advice and influence senior leadership.
• Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Experience building finance capacity and leading high‑performing, inclusive teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
