Facilities Coordinator

About the role

Scania East Africa is looking for a proactive and well‑organised Facilities Coordinator to oversee local real‑estate and facility activities. You will be the primary point of contact for all facility‑management matters, ensuring that our sites are safe, efficient, sustainable and compliant with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and monitor long‑term maintenance plans for all local facilities.
• Manage preventive, corrective and major maintenance activities.
• Lead refurbishment, new‑facility and improvement projects, delivering on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Support sustainability and energy‑efficiency initiatives aligned with environmental targets.
• Ensure standards, processes, policies and functional requirements are applied across all facility work.
• Collect, verify, store and report facility‑related data, including progress, deviations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate resources, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet operational needs.
• Conduct site reviews, inspections and audits, identifying deviations and driving continuous improvement.
• Promote safe, compliant and effective facility operations in line with SHE, regulatory and internal requirements.
