Field Property Officer

About the role

The Field Property Officer will be responsible for conducting on‑site inspections and surveys of residential and commercial units across Nairobi. You will act as the primary point of contact for tenants and landlords, ensuring properties are maintained to high standards and compliant with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled property inspections, documenting condition, utilities, safety compliance, and occupancy.
• Compile photographic evidence and detailed inspection reports for handover, takeover, and ongoing maintenance monitoring.
• Collect and update property data such as measurements, rental rates, amenities, and compliance details in internal systems.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports and market intelligence on competing property rates.
• Engage with tenants during visits, address inquiries, deliver notices, and follow up on rent arrears.
• Support property viewings, generate leads, and assist with accurate property listings and marketing material distribution.
• Ensure properties meet local regulations, report safety or legal risks, and assist with documentation for disputes or insurance claims.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, track service requests, and maintain organized property documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in property inspection, field surveying, or real‑estate management.
• Mid‑level qualification with proven ability to work independently in the field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely reports.
• Excellent communication skills for tenant and landlord interaction.
