Full-Stack AI Engineer Intern

About the role

You will build the production interfaces that connect the Pawa-Med™ AI platform to healthcare providers and patients. This includes real‑time streaming AI responses, WhatsApp bot integrations, and clinical dashboards, all delivered at scale in a mission‑driven environment focused on African healthcare challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Next.js 14 frontend features using TypeScript.
• Integrate self‑hosted model APIs and streaming AI responses into the user interface.
• Create WhatsApp and SMS bot flows with Twilio and Meta APIs.
• Design and optimise PostgreSQL (or Supabase) database schemas for healthcare data.
• Implement real‑time features using PostgreSQL Realtime and WebSockets.
• Own features end‑to‑end from design through deployment on Vercel, Render, or Cloudflare.

Required profile

• Proficient in React/Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs and third‑party service integration.
• Basic understanding of PostgreSQL (or Supabase) databases.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to ship quickly.
