Fullstack Developer (6‑month Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our Nairobi team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on building and maintaining enterprise‑grade web and desktop applications using .NET Core and the DevExpress XAF framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain web and desktop solutions with .NET Core and DevExpress XAF.
• Design user interfaces using XAF modules, ensuring consistency with UI/UX standards.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and services to extend functionality.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, optimise performance, and guarantee scalability.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect data integrity.
• Create and maintain database schemas, stored procedures and queries in MS SQL Server.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Document modules and features comprehensively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience with .NET Core and DevExpress XAF.
• Strong knowledge of C#, LINQ or Entity Framework and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in building complex reports and dashboards with DevExpress Reporting.
• Experience designing, optimising and querying MS SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with Git or similar version‑control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
