Human Resource Manager

About the role

The Human Resource Manager leads BrighterMonday Consulting’s HR department, reporting directly to the CEO. The role provides strategic leadership, policy direction and operational oversight across all HR functions to support the company’s growth and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with the corporate strategic plan.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and employer branding initiatives, including manpower planning and vacancy advertising.
• Oversee performance management processes, including appraisal cycles, probation management and succession planning.
• Manage compensation and benefits, employee welfare, and occupational health & safety programs.
• Handle employee relations, conflict resolution and ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
• Supervise administrative assistants, chefs and other functional teams within the HR department.
• Prepare annual HR work plans, departmental budgets and lead organizational change initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with approximately 7 years of HR experience.
• Proven ability to provide strategic HR leadership and advise senior management.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee relations and OHS.
• Experience supervising cross‑functional HR teams.
