Human Resource Manager

About the role

Victoria Homestore is a fast‑growing furniture retailer with multiple branches in Kenya. We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially‑minded Human Resource Manager to lead our people strategy and HR operations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Provide strategic HR advice to the CEO and senior management.
• Create and monitor the annual HR workplan, budget and priorities.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for sales, warehouse, delivery, finance, administration and management roles.
• Design and maintain effective performance management systems, KPIs and performance improvement plans.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary cases and workplace conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan employment legislation and company policies.
• Support branch leaders with workforce planning and talent pipeline development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably in retail or furniture sectors.
• Mid‑level professional with a proven track record of developing HR strategy.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour law and HR best practices.
• Experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations and HR budgeting.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive a high‑performance culture.
