In-Country Manager – Africa (Kenya)

About the role

ECA Group is looking for a commercially‑focused In‑Country Manager to lead student recruitment and business development across Kenya and the wider African region. Reporting to the Head of Student Acquisition, you will shape market growth strategies, achieve enrolment targets, and strengthen partnerships with agents, schools and universities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute country‑specific recruitment plans and growth strategies.
• Build and expand relationships with education agents, schools, universities, scholarship bodies, government agencies and corporate partners.
• Drive lead generation, application conversion and enrolment outcomes.
• Represent ECA and its university partners at fairs, seminars, exhibitions and school visits.
• Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives, digital campaigns and promotional activities.
• Monitor budgets, report performance metrics and ensure recruitment targets are met.
• Support visiting ECA executives and university partners during regional recruitment activities.
• Maintain compliance with education regulations and ensure accurate program representation.

Required profile

• Highly motivated, commercially driven professional with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Experience in education recruitment, business development or related sales functions.
• Ability to travel regularly across Kenya and other African markets, with occasional international trips.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
