About the role
Our client, a leading FMCG and pharmaceutical company, is looking for an Internal Audit Assistant to join the internal audit team in Nairobi. You will support audit assignments, assess internal controls, and help improve governance and operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Execute assigned internal audit activities according to the approved work plan, ensuring timely completion and achievement of audit objectives.
- Perform independent verification of client orders through surprise checks of picked and packed items.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts on selected stock items to validate ERP inventory records.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive audit reports documenting findings, control gaps and recommendations.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of experience as an assistant auditor.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration or a related field.
- CPA/ACCA minimum Level 2.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
