IT Event Management Engineer

About the role

The IT Event Management Engineer designs, implements, and continuously improves global event detection and alerting systems. This role ensures proactive identification and resolution of IT issues across hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments, helping the organization shift from reactive firefighting to predictive service assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain event ingestion pipelines from multiple sources.
• Develop and tune alerting rules to reduce noise and improve signal quality.
• Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms for automated incident creation.
• Build dashboards and analytics to provide visibility into event trends.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service management teams to standardize best practices.
• Drive automation of event workflows using scripting and configuration‑as‑code tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification (ITIL Intermediate or ITIL 4 Managing Professional is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, monitoring, or event management.
• Proven experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as OpsBridge, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or Site24x7.
• Hands‑on experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments.
