Junior Accountant – Entry Level

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role involves processing transactions, assisting with payables and receivables, and contributing to month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice preparation and payment processing.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures and journal entries.
• Prepare financial reports, account summaries and spreadsheets as required.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist with audits by gathering and organizing documentation.
• Ensure accounting activities follow company policies and maintain confidentiality.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related roles.
• Degree, diploma or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP or financial management platforms.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger processes.
