About the role
The Laboratory Technologist will perform diagnostic tests, analyse clinical specimens, prepare samples, operate laboratory equipment, maintain accurate records, and support disease detection and diagnosis in a clinical laboratory setting.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyse clinical specimens.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Follow quality control procedures and protocols.
- Support the detection and diagnosis of diseases.
Required profile
- Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- At least one year of internship experience.
- Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
- Training in Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
- Laboratory equipment operation.
