Learning Management System Technical Support Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme seeks a Technical Support Consultant to configure, migrate and launch its new UN Campus Learning Management System. The consultant will ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure, maintain service continuity and build internal capacity for long‑term platform sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and customise the UN Campus LMS to meet UNEP requirements and ensure compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.
• Migrate digital learning content and learner profiles from the Corporate Academy LMS, guaranteeing SCORM compliance and minimal service interruption.
• Launch the new platform, promote it to the learning community, and provide ongoing support until it is fully sustained.
• Document migration activities, create user manuals, SOPs and best‑practice guides, and transfer knowledge to CSD‑HR staff.
• Perform testing of new features, plugins and updates, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and explore AI‑enabled tools to enhance personalized learning.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of degree and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Moodle Workplace/LMS administration, including implementation, content migration, user management and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting organization‑wide LMS rollouts in international organisations, UN agencies or large enterprises is highly desirable.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; French is an official UN language.
