About the role
Sports Kenya, a state corporation responsible for developing and managing sports facilities and programs, is seeking an entry‑level Legal Officer to join its legal department in Kasarani, Nairobi. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters supporting the organization’s mandate.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare legal briefs for the initiation of legal actions.
- Draft, interpret and provide guidance on legal opinions.
- Maintain and update legal department records and produce quarterly reports.
- Prepare and file pleadings on behalf of the Board.
- Draft and review legal instruments, policy documents, contracts and memoranda of understanding.
- Conduct legal research and undertake assigned legal tasks.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
- Member of the Law Society of Kenya.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
