Loans Relationship Officer – Financial Services

About the role

The Loans Relationship Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships while expanding the loan portfolio for our financial services institution in Kapenguria. This entry‑level position offers a dynamic environment where you will provide tailored financial solutions and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive loan sales.
• Assess loan applications, verify documentation, and conduct preliminary risk assessments.
• Recommend loan approvals in line with internal guidelines and monitor disbursement timelines.
• Track repayment schedules, manage delinencies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Promote loan products, achieve monthly sales targets, and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience as a loans or relationship officer in a SACCO, MFI, or bank.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet set targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
