MICE Sales Manager

About the role

The MICE Sales Manager will lead the development of Fairmont Mount Kenya’s events business, driving sales and revenue through strategic market analysis and client engagement. This role combines sales expertise with event planning to ensure each function delivers maximum value for the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze market demographics and propose solutions to grow events sales and revenue.
• Promote and pitch event packages to potential clients across multiple channels.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and nurture new clientele.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, ensuring optimal return on investment.
• Manage all incoming leads for guest room bookings and catering functions.
• Develop lead sources through prospecting, referrals, trace files, and cold calls.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales targets on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MICE sales or hospitality events sales.
• Strong client‑relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable sales strategies.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or surpassing sales goals.
