Operations Team Member

About the role

The Operations Team Member will support daily restaurant activities at Java House, ensuring guests receive prompt, high‑quality service. This onsite position requires a customer‑focused attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables accurately and on time.
• Maintain food presentation, temperature, and quality according to restaurant standards.
• Communicate order status and guest needs between kitchen and service staff.
• Keep waiter stations, tables, and the restaurant clean and organized.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including waste management.
• Restock condiments, support opening and closing duties, and assist wait staff during busy periods.
• Present menu options, suggestive sell, and handle invoicing and payment processing.
• Perform cleaning of kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery, and both guest and staff washrooms.

Required profile

• Good planner with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills.
• Flexible, reliable team player with a high sense of responsibility.
• Minimum KCSE certificate with a mean grade of C.
• At least six months experience as a certified Java House staff member.
• Interest in the hospitality industry and ability to work long hours.
