Oracle Apps Database Administrator

About the role

The Oracle Apps Database Administrator will be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of Oracle E‑Business Suite applications and underlying databases. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of client environments while supporting implementation and migration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Oracle E‑Business Suite applications and Oracle databases.
• Design, implement and manage backup and recovery solutions using file‑system backups and RMAN.
• Clone application and database environments for development, testing and production.
• Apply patches, updates and security fixes following best practices.
• Monitor performance, conduct tuning, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them within agreed service timelines.
• Conduct capacity planning, space management and health checks.
• Develop shell scripts to automate routine administration tasks.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for client engagements.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Apps and Oracle Database administration.
• Strong understanding of backup/recovery, patching, and performance tuning.
• Ability to travel to client sites and build professional relationships.
