About the role

The Platform Development and Analytics Consultant will support UNEP in enhancing and optimizing several critical digital platforms. The role involves migrating applications, improving database functionality, and integrating new data pipelines to support environmental reporting and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

  • Enhance system efficiency for the UNEP GEF Project Implementation Report (PIR) platform for FY 2026.
  • Migrate the CITES Monitoring of the Illegal Killing of Elephants (MIKE) application from PHP to Drupal and assist deployment on UNICC servers in Geneva.
  • Develop a user‑management module for the Foresight application portal and move configuration data from Excel to a database.
  • Create pipelines to ingest new signals from Microsoft Forms into the platform.
  • Design and implement a Household Waste Categorization web application for Lesotho using Artificial Intelligence.
