Portfolio Manager Equities

About the role

Equity Bank Kenya is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead its equities investment activities. The role involves managing multi‑asset portfolios, ensuring alignment with regulatory limits, and delivering strong risk‑adjusted returns.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, allocate and rebalance equity and fixed‑income portfolios in line with investment policy.
• Perform performance measurement, attribution analysis and benchmark management.
• Conduct credit analysis, equity research, valuation and macro‑economic analysis to support investment decisions.
• Monitor regulatory frameworks, ALM concepts, liquidity and capital requirements.
• Communicate portfolio performance, risk metrics and strategy to senior stakeholders and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in portfolio management, treasury, investment research or asset management within a financial services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Mathematics/Statistics or related field.
• High integrity, strong risk mindset and sound judgement under uncertainty.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
