Procurement Senior Coordinator

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Procurement Senior Coordinator to lead the sourcing of solar and non‑agricultural inputs for smallholder farmers. The role ensures cost‑efficient, high‑quality purchases and on‑time delivery across all OAF operations in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Drive procurement excellence by achieving >90% on‑time‑in‑full delivery, securing cost savings, and maintaining timely PO closure and payments.
• Coordinate taxes, duties, clearances and freight to mitigate operational risks and guarantee timely deliveries.
• Execute the procurement strategy for solar and non‑ag products, including negotiations, contract management and supplier performance monitoring.
• Maintain quality control standards throughout the procurement process and ensure proper documentation for warehouse deliveries.
• Build and nurture relationships with upstream suppliers, represent OAF in external meetings and identify opportunities for supplier performance improvement.
• Provide world‑class customer service to internal stakeholders by communicating order status and resolving procurement‑related inquiries.
• Conduct market research to recommend optimal sourcing options and introduce new trial products or substitutes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of supply chain, operations and importation policies.
• Analytical, decision‑making and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a detail‑oriented, organized approach.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and build lasting supplier relationships.
