Product Manager – Digital Health Innovations

About the role

Living Goods is seeking a Product Manager to drive the delivery of its digital health innovations across sub‑Saharan Africa. The role is execution‑focused, embedded in the product development cycle, and works closely with engineering, field users, and program stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Write detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria for assigned products.
• Own and maintain product backlogs, ensuring priorities are current and well‑defined.
• Track release schedules, flag risks early, and keep milestones on track across multiple workstreams.
• Engage directly with Community Health Workers, supervisors, and program staff to gather feedback and translate it into actionable product inputs.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create wireframes, user flows, and interface specifications.
• Support sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, retrospectives) and ensure the engineering team has clear, well‑defined work.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and manage post‑deployment feedback loops.
• Monitor product performance metrics and provide insights for iteration decisions.
• Produce concise product documentation and status updates for stakeholders.
• Assist the Manager, Product Management in stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional coordination.

Required profile

• Experience in product management or product ownership for software or digital health solutions.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to manage backlogs and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Curiosity about emerging digital health technologies and a passion for improving healthcare delivery.
• Ability to work closely with field users and translate real‑world needs into product features.
