Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Nairobi)

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production workers and machine operators in a plastic products manufacturing facility located in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient production runs, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage production staff, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.
• Schedule production shifts to minimise overtime while maximising output.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with the Production Engineer for skill development.
• Oversee daily performance tracking, machine cycle times, standard weights and raw‑material allocation.
• Supervise mould changes, resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with Kaizen and ISO best practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, enforce health‑and‑safety procedures and coordinate machine maintenance.
• Handle disciplinary matters in partnership with HR and contractor supervisors.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in plastic products manufacturing.
