Programme Manager – Conservation Education (Nairobi)

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the Conservation Education programme for a high‑impact Kenyan NGO, overseeing strategy, delivery, partnerships and financial sustainability. Based in Nairobi, you will work directly with partner schools, donors and the senior leadership team to expand impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual programme plan, budget and delivery calendar.
• Implement and report on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) targets across inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact.
• Ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across all partner schools.
• Lead the programme’s expansion strategy and manage scaling transitions.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security and donor requirements.
• Translate data insights into strategic direction and clear communication for schools, partners and funders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of programme management experience in education or conservation.
• Proven ability to manage donor relations and produce high‑quality reports.
• Strong understanding of MEL frameworks and data‑driven decision making.
• Experience leading a lean, high‑performing team.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Nairobi and travel to partner schools as needed.
