Project Assistant

About the role

The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support its Climate and Youth desks. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with project teams to ensure smooth planning, coordination, and monitoring of activities that advance agricultural development and policy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, reports, and documentation.
• Organise meetings, draft agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
• Maintain accurate project records, files, and databases.
• Coordinate communication between project team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies or a related field.
• Previous experience in project coordination or administrative support is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with project management software.
